was their duty to pay the highest tax law ever issued in the south.  That isn't pride!  It sounds to me more like exploitation and manipulation.  All in all, the flag of the Confederacy is an insult, not only to the African American people, but to the supporters of the flag as well.

attendance, and urged people to write to the officials in Washington about this, because that is where the decision is going to be made.  Citizens also voiced their opinions that the city was losing out yet again to booming Portland, and it is simply unfair that this continues year after year.
The impact of this decision is significant to all people in Lewiston and Auburn, especially the students, and younger adults in the community.  The final decision of the post office will be a statement about politics, and the future growth of our community.  The benefit that an organization such as this would bring to the twin cities is amazing, and can significantly shape the development of the cities over the next few years.   
This issue is not dead yet, and will be highly debated over the coming months.  As long as the Twin Cities stay involved in the process, we will be contenders, but if we back off, we are jeopardizing our chances.
