What is S.A.D.D, you ask? S.A.D.D. is the acronym for Students Against Destructive Decisions. Participating in S.A.D.D. is a great way to meet new people, take a stand, voice your opinions, and have fun all at the same time. S.A.D.D. is a nationwide club that even picks a S.A.D.D. student of the year.
So, what kinds of activities do the people in S.A.D.D. take part in? Well, they do numerous activities. Creating the mock car crash, attending "don't smoke" and "don't drink and drive" campaigns throughout the year, organizing substance-free prom and graduation parties, and going to elementary schools dressed as "Samantha skunk" to teach kids about the dangers of abusing substances are only a few of the wonderful projects that

S.A.D.D. does to help better the school and the community. Over the summer of 1999, the S.A.D.D. advisor, Mrs. Wiegman, and the officers attended the national S.A.D.D. conference in Washington.
S.A.D.D. has a lot of new ideas for the 1999-2000 school year. Members plan to get other clubs involved in creating a Halloween fair for youngsters to go trick-or-treating through the school. Also, S.A.D.D. hopes to put the idea if "Grim Reaper Day" into action.
If you think that S.A.D.D. sounds like a great club, it is! If you are interested in becoming a member, simply attend a meeting or see Mrs. Wiegman. The meetings are held every Wednesday after school in room B1E. Come and bring new ideas with you!

What's REAL? As if you don't know. REAL is a student run art and literary magazine.
The REAL staff is a group of odd guys and gals who, in the process of getting things done, succeed at not making it seem like work. REAL only works if you, the student, submit your work. By work we mean poems, very short stories, drawings, photographs, and much more. If you'd like to submit then turn your work into Mr. Garner in room G5 or Doctor Townsend in C211.
REAL is a great way to have your work published and a great way to view others' work.
