The LHS Marching Band experienced victory at the home competition at Walton School on Saturday, October 9th. We won FIRST PLACE in our division, beating EL, our only competition that night. EL is always our strongest competition so it was a thrill to win in such a personal El vs. LHS situation. We took home awards for best drum major (Shawn Robitaille), best colorguard, high winds, and best music. El took best visual and best percussion, preventing us from sweeping our division. If we do sweep our division this season, Mr. Libby promised to dye his hair blue... so keep your eye out.

It's been a very exciting season so far. We've added visual moves and improved our music and drill. We continue to work towards perfection for State Competition in Orono on October 30th. Last year, with our show "1945," we came in fourth all season. It's great to finally be winners, and I'm sure it'll only make us want to work harder so we can see that blue hair by states.
