2000 Season Will be Busy for Band Members

An exciting season is planned for the members of the LHS band. The marching show this year is entitled "Sheherezade." It should be a wonderful show, as the band has been working very hard on both the music and the drill. The first competition is in mid-September, so there is plenty of time to get the show up to performance level. It should prove to be a great marching season.

Concert band is working on fundraising this year to finance a trip to Florida. Plans have been made to perform at Disney World during April vacation. Hopefully, this will work out and the band will have a great experience traveling and performing together. Please support any band members you know in fundraising so this trip can happen. We need your support.

Lastly, new uniforms have been ordered and are expected to arrive in September. Instead of the traditional old uniforms, the band will be wearing metal helmets and short capes. The shirts will be new as well, whereas we are keeping the old white pants and shoes. This fresh new look will instill pride and help the band to do their best. The 200 season should be excellent. Hope you can make it to one of the shows.
